Terms and Conditions

1. Our hire period is 4 days. Quotation on request for longer periods of hire. The items are vintage  and therefore patterns will be mixed .Our Minimum Hire Value is £50.00 excluding Delivery and Collection/Washing Up

2. We require a 50% deposit as confirmation of your order. The deposit is non-refundable.

3. The balance is payable no later than 14 days prior to the date of hire – payable by cheque or electronic bank transfer. Cheques should be made payable to Julie Mangan

4. Cancellation will be 100% of hire costs if cancelled within this 14 day period or 25% of hire costs if cancelled within a 30 day period.

5. Requests for additional items added to the order once the final balance is paid will be accommodated where possible but cannot be guaranteed. Payment for these items is due upon receipt of goods. We regret that the order may not be reduced post final payment.

6. A separate refundable damage deposit of £150 is required 7 days prior to the date of hire which should be paid by separate cheque. This will be returned on the safe return of the hired goods.

7. Damages and/or loss will be charged at the following cost:

£4.00 per china item (excluding teapots & cake stands)

£20.00 per teapot

£40.00 per cake stand

£10.00 per silver item

£10.00 per glass item

£POA for all other items

8. All goods should be checked by the hirer on receipt. If deliveries are left at unattended premises this is at the hirers risk.

9. No discrepancies or faults will be accepted unless notified within 24 hours of delivery.

10. During the hire period breakages or loss of any item is the full responsibility of the hirer until received back and checked by Mangan Antiques.

 Hirers will be notified within 24 hours noted loss or damage and corresponding charges.

11. It is expected that due to the vintage nature of the items, some of the patterns, gilt edges and silver plating may be worn with age.

12. A wash up service is available and charged at 20% of the total hire charge. If you are to wash up yourself, please note the items are plating and patterns will be badly damaged if cleaned in a dishwasher.

13. The goods will be available for collection from our Warehouse . If  required to deliver or collect the goods, a delivery/collection charge will be made.

14. Goods for collection must be repacked safely in their original packaging and if wash up is required we ask that the items are carefully scraped

15. Mangan Antiques accepts no liability for injury caused by the hire equipment.

16. Any goods returned to us, other than those supplied, will be held for the client to collect from our premises for TWO WEEKS, and then if not collected, disposed of.
